The Razzie winners! If you can call them that!

The best of the worst of the cinema world in the past year is celebrated here with the Razzies. Short for The Golden Raspberry Awards, the Razzies humiliates what they think are the worst films, actors, actresses and directors over the past year. And those are just some of the categories they include in their “Winners” circle, they also have Worst couple and Worst prequel, remake, rip-off or sequel which sounds like the harshest and, at the same time, fairest category.

This year, the man of the hour is Adam Sandler with his shocking take on the “dress up like the opposite sex” genre where he plays his own sister in Jack and Jill. A film where even the great Al Pacino lost the final bit of dignity he had by starring in this “movie”. Adam Sandler has smashed all records by winning in every single category of the ceremony. Quite an amazing feat!

After the brilliantly funny and random film Happy Gilmore, he has seen a steep decline in the films he has starred in and produced including the likes of Spanglish, You Don’t Mess With The Zohan and Just Go With It. And this appears to be the final nail in his coffin, a coffin no full of shambolic films, terrible performances and dreadful scripts. Even though he has gone the way of the once great Eddie Murphy  maybe one day he’ll be good again. Until that day comes, I suggest you keep that copy of Happy Gilmore to remind you of better Sandler times.

Here is a list of this years Razzie winners, well done to you all for being so terrible!
