It’s Venom On The Dance Floor

Who knew we’d be getting three of these films? Unbelievably the third in the trilogy of Venom films is on the way, the latest in the Sony/Marvel movie universe. Once again Tom Hardy stars as Eddie Brock/Venom, and here’s the first trailer. Buckle up!

Considering the fact that this trailer is three minutes long, we don’t see a great deal. Always a good thing to keep your cards close to your chest when it’s films like this, even though they are utterly batshit, there’s always a lot to enjoy. This being called Venom: The Last Dance does seem to indicate that this is the final time we’ll see this iteration of the character, especially with everything that’s been hinted at in this trailer and in a particular MCU post credit scene.

That scene shows up here so it’s possible we’re dealing with a multiverse timeline, however nothing is confirmed. This certainly looks like it’ll be just as much fun as the previous films, with Eddie and Venom riffing, almost like a buddy Cop movie or, dare we dream, a romantic couple? We can only hope!

What we do know is that Juno Temple, Rhys Ifans and Chiwetel Ejiofor have joined the cast along with returning members Peggy Lu and Stephen Graham, the latter of whom seems to be possessed by something, is he going to be the villian of this story?

The film has been directed by Kelly Marcel, as the script writer makes her directorial debut and co-writes the story with Tom Hardy. Venom: The Last Dance releases in October this year.

Keep. It. Reel.
