Prop Store’s Movie Poster Exhibition

Prop Store is well-known for holding it’s annual movie memorabilia auction, selling all sorts of props from popular movies such as Star Wars, The Dark Knight Rises, Captain America, Teminator 2, Jurassic Park and many more. However this week they are doing something a little different. On until Friday 28th June, you can take a look at some of the most beautiful and iconic pieces of art ever known with their movie poster collection.

Getting ready to auction them off Prop Store is hosting an exhibition of some incredible posters which you won’t find anywhere else. Currently at the BFI IMAX in Waterloo, London, the memorabilia site is showing off it’s latest collection and they really are beautiful. Here are just a handful of what’s on offer.

The posters on display are being auctioned off on Friday and they are expected to make quite a bit of money. Including in the exhibition are pieces such as an original Dr. No poster, a rather colourful looking Jungle Book one as well as other classics such as Blade Runner, Apocalypse Now and Lawrence of Arabia. Also included is an extremely rare Star Wars: Revenge of the Jedi, the original title for Return of the Jedi, before the name change but not until after a few posters were made. This particular one is expected to fetch up to £3,000 at auction.

The entire collection is made up of about 400 posters from around 320 films (there are LOTS of funky Star Wars ones from all around the world) and if you would like to bid on any of the items you can visit the Prop Store website and check out all that they have on offer.
