Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse Has A Trailer

Whilst it may feel as if we have had plenty of Spider-Man at the cinema lately with three iterations of the live action character, none have been like this. Introducing Peter Parker, Gwen Stacy (aka Spider-Gwen, played by Hailee Steinfeld) and Miles Morales, the new animated movie, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse will take you into a multidimensional universe in which there are several Spider superheroes. Check out the trailer below.

Here Miles (voiced by Shameik Moore) takes centre stage with a distinctive black Spidey suit as Peter (Jake Johnson) guides him and teaches him how to be a better Spider-Man and about fighting crime in New York. As they swing around, Gwen-Spider shows up who looks as if she’s just stepped out the pages of the comicbook.

The visuals within the trailer are truly stunning and it’s something that looks as if only big screen will do it justice. Layering 2D with 3D, the textures and colours look vibrant, plus using comicbook text for small parts of dialouge, this is like no animated film we’ve seen before.

With a voice cast which also includes Liev Schreiber as Kingpin, Mahershala Ali as Miles’ uncle Aaron, and Lily Tomlin as Aunt May plus producers Phil Lord and Chris Miller on board, it’ll be swinging into cinemas in December.

Keep. It. Reel.
